• The Taste: Jennifer and I stopped for dinner midweek just ahead of the rain. Jennifer opted for the stuffed on this occassion. She also added a sausage. She received four large shells stuffed with herbed ricotta mixture, topped with Long Beach Pizza;s homemade sauce and mozzarella before baking
The shells were nicely flavored, mild, relatively light on the palate. The sausage was spicy with a great flavor that complemented the shells very well. Jennifer was quite pleased with overall flavor. A small salad and garlic toast accompanied her dinner.
I opted for a small pizza, I ordered thin crust, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and jalapenos. The crust was crunchy with a chewy texture. The combination was perfect for rainy evening: spicy, rich, crunchy and hot from the oven.
Long Beach Pizza Company is a great local eatery. It's the kind of neighborhood, famuly-owned and operated restaurant that was the norm years ago and is increasingly hard to find. The service is first rate, friendly, the food is well-prepared, generous and quite reasonably priced. It's great place to stop for a tasty meal for one or two or a large group.
Price: Lunch or Dinner for two is $15 and $25 |
